Rest Now: 7 Ways to Say No, Set Boundaries, and Seize Joy by Kelly Balarie will be a 15 week study led by Bobbie Aymond.
If you feel overwhelmed, you’re not alone. Three out of five people admit to doing more than they can manage but feel selfish and guilty when we say no, grow weary, or snap at someone out of sheer exhaustion. Is this what God desires? Somewhere along the line of being a good Christian, wife, daughter, or friend we lose sight of who we are in Christ.
Rest Now offers permission to breathe. It exposes the lies that distract, tire, and bully us, so we don’t strive for rest but love from it, like Jesus did. With transparent and tender compassion, Kelly shows us how to access the peace of God—as well as His joy—even in the midst of chaos.
Option 2
Beginning 1/15/25
6:30pm
No childcare
Abide: A study of 1, 2, 3 John by Jen Wilkin will be led by Kathryn Edmunds.
How can we hold onto assurance of our faith? How can we discern the truth from a lie? How can we know God loves us? In these three short letters, the apostle John reminds an early church facing division, deception, and doubt to hold fast to what they know and to live like they believe it. And he reminds us, as well. In this study, Jen Wilkin helps you see how two thousand years later, his words call to Christians in similar challenges to recall a great salvation and to abide in the truth.
